2027 Supercross Schedule Drops — San Antonio and Baltimore Debut, Six Markets Get Cut

The 2027 AMA Supercross season runs 17 rounds from January 9 in Anaheim to May 15 in Salt Lake City, adding San Antonio and Baltimore and bringing back four stadiums.

2027 Supercross Schedule Drops — San Antonio and Baltimore Debut, Six Markets Get Cut

The 2027 Supercross calendar is out, and it's got fresh dirt in a couple of places you haven't seen. Seventeen rounds, opening January 9 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim and wrapping May 15 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City (Ultimate Motorcycling).

The new stops

Two stadiums will host Supercross for the first time: the Alamodome in San Antonio on January 30 (Round 4) and M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on April 10 (Round 13). Four venues come back after sitting out 2026: Tampa's Raymond James Stadium, Foxborough's Gillette Stadium, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, and Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh (NBC Sports).

Anaheim hosts twice, and the series covers 16 cities in 13 states, per Motorcycle.com.

Who got cut

If your local stadium isn't on the list, that's why. Birmingham, Nashville, Cleveland and Philadelphia hosted in 2026 but are off the 2027 calendar, and Houston and St. Louis, which usually sit on a two-year rotation, are also missing (NBC Sports). Ultimate Motorcycling's list of dropped venues also names Houston, Birmingham, St. Louis, Nashville, Cleveland and Philadelphia.

The full run

Races go every Saturday except March 27 and May 1. Here's the shape of the season:

  • Jan. 9 – Feb. 6: Anaheim 1, San Diego, Anaheim 2, San Antonio, Tampa
  • Feb. 13 – Mar. 20: Glendale, Detroit, Arlington, Daytona, Indianapolis, Seattle
  • Apr. 3 – May 15: Foxborough, Baltimore, East Rutherford, Pittsburgh, Denver, Salt Lake City

What the calendar tells you

Look at the map and you'll see the series leaning on big NFL and MLB-style stadiums in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic for the spring stretch: Foxborough, Baltimore, East Rutherford and Pittsburgh back to back through April. Texas gets the early-season treatment with San Antonio in January and Arlington in February. Daytona sits in early March, and the track map for that round is still pending, so don't count on a layout yet (NBC Sports).

What's still missing

Not everything is locked in. Division assignments for the 250SX East and West classes haven't been announced, and no Triple Crown dates are listed yet (Ultimate Motorcycling). Playoff venues will be revealed in January.

The bigger picture

Supercross is just the first act. The 17 rounds are part of a 28-round SuperMotocross World Championship regular season. The 11-round Pro Motocross Championship kicks off May 29 at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, and finishes the final weekend of August at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The SMX Playoffs run September 11 and 18, with the championship final on September 25 (NBC Sports, Ultimate Motorcycling).

Why a trail rider should care

You might never line up on a stadium gate, but Supercross sets the winter conversation: who's on what bike, which tracks ride rough, and which riders you'll be arguing about around the tailgate. A schedule this early gives you months to plan a road trip, grab tickets, or just pick your Saturday-night spot on the couch.

It's also a good excuse to set your own goals. Pick a season stat to chase, whether that's total miles, total elevation or hours in the saddle, and log every ride in BraapTrax so you can see your own season take shape while the pros fight for theirs. The gate drops January 9. Your off-season starts now.
