Sherco's 2027 Xtrem 250 and 300 Put Factory Hard Enduro Parts in a Showroom Bike

Sherco just announced a pair of hard enduro two-strokes that skip the usual shopping-cart ritual. The 2027 SE 250 Xtrem and SE 300 Xtrem are sold as replicas of the company's factory FIM Hard Enduro race bikes, with the bolt-ons already on. Per Dirt Bike Magazine, the SE 250 Xtrem is $13,490 and the SE 300 Xtrem is $13,690, and only limited quantities are coming to the United States.

What you get

Sherco says the special parts add up to more than €3,500 (about $3,928). Here's what's on the list:

  • Akrapovič silencer and an upgraded clutch, the two things hard enduro riders usually chase first.
  • Blue CNC-machined cylinder head dome. The 300 uses lower compression than the 250, which Sherco says is for better traction.
  • Protection: carbon front brake disc guard and radiator guards, a reinforced handlebar, a rear brake disc guard and chain guide, a black skid plate, and blue clutch and ignition cover protectors.
  • Rider touches: a seat with extra grip and pyramid-pattern strips, plus front and rear pull straps for hauling the bike up and over things it doesn't want to go over.
  • Details: blue anodized axle pullers front and rear, CNC-machined footpegs in anthracite, a steel rear sprocket for durability, and new Xtrem graphics matching the factory race bikes.

The rider take

Hard enduro is rough on everything bolted to a bike. Clutches cook, discs get bent on rocks, and radiators get crushed in the first log pile. Buying a bike that already has guards, a stronger bar and a durable sprocket is a real head start, and for a lot of riders the sticker price against a base bike plus a parts order is the actual math to do.

Two caveats. First, "replica" means look and parts, not factory suspension or a factory motor, so don't expect to roll off the truck and keep up with the pros. Second, this is a limited run in the US, so if one is on your list, talk to a dealer early. The article doesn't give a delivery date, so ask about that too.

For context, this isn't Sherco's only 2027 news. Dirt Bike Magazine also reported a four-model 2027 enduro lineup of 125 SE Factory, 250 SE and 300 SE two-strokes plus a 300 SEF four-stroke, all with new graphics, a less aggressive seat grip and a new battery. The Xtrem models are the loaded, race-ready end of that family.

Gear worth having

Hard enduro eats hardware and riders alike, so a few things earn their spot in the truck:

Tracking it in BraapTrax

A bike like this lives hard, and the parts on it wear on hours rather than miles. Add it to your garage in BraapTrax, log every ride to it, and you'll know how much time is on the clutch, plastics and chain before the trail tells you the expensive way.
